Day-by-day tour program

Day 1 Tashkent, by train to Bukhara, dinner

Welcome to sunny Tashkent, Uzbekistan's friendly capital! Once you arrive, our guide and driver will meet you at the airport. Your Tashkent tour includes Mustakillik Square, the Monument of Courage, and Alai Bazaar for souvenir shopping. You'll also visit Amir Temur Square, the Alisher Navoi Opera, and the Museum of Applied Arts. After exploring Tashkent, we'll take you to the station. Catch the Afrasiab train to Bukhara at 18:50. When you arrive in Bukhara at 22:37, we'll meet you and transfer you to a three-star hotel for a good night's rest.

Day 2 Bukhara excursion, breakfast and dinner with master class

You will enjoy breakfast at your hotel. At 09:00, you start an exciting tour of Bukhara's landmarks with a friendly, knowledgeable guide. You'll learn about Bukhara's history, culture, and economy. The tour includes visits to the Samanid and Chashma-Ayub mausoleums, Ark fortress, Bolo-Khauz mosque, and the Poi-Kalon ensemble, featuring the Kalyan minaret and mosque, and the Miri-Arab madrasah. You'll also see the trading domes, Ulugbek Madrasah, Abdulaziz-Khan Madrasah, and the Lyabi-Hauz ensemble, which has three madrasahs: Kukeldash, Khanaka, and Nadir-Divan-Begi. A highlight is the statue of Khoja Nasreddin. The Bukhara excursion will end with a visit to an ancient synagogue in old Bukhara's narrow streets. Your dinner will be at a local family's home, where you'll learn to make traditional Bukhara pilaf.

Day 3 Departure to Samarkand, excursion, breakfast and dinner

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before leaving for Samarkand. Arriving in Samarkand, you'll check into a comfortable hotel room. Relax a bit to be ready for the Samarkand excursion. You'll meet your guide and see the stunning Ulugbek, Sherdor, and Tillya-Kori madrasas at Registan Square. Your tour in Samarkand also takes you to the Gur-Emir, Rukhabad, and Aksaray mausoleums. End the day with a delicious dinner at Novy Arbat restaurant, featuring savoury baked lamb with herbs and vegetables.

Day 4 Samarkand excursion, train to Tashkent, breakfast and dinner

Your day starts with breakfast at the hotel. After checking out with your luggage, continue your Samarkand city tour. Today's highlights include the Bibi-Khanum Mosque, the bustling Siab bazaar, and the historic Hazrat-Khizr mosque. You'll also explore the beautiful Shakhi-Zinda mausoleums and the mausoleum of Kusam ibn Abbas, a cousin of Prophet Muhammad. Visit the Khoja-Daniyar mausoleum, respected by many faiths, and the Afrasiab Museum with its ancient frescoes. Don't miss the Ulugbek observatory, a key site for astronomers. Your tour will end with a train ride to Tashkent on the Afrasiab train, departing at 17:30. Arrive in Uzbekistan's capital at 19:40. You'll be met at the station and taken to Mulla Do'st restaurant for a farewell dinner. After dinner, check into a four-star hotel for a good night's rest before leaving Uzbekistan.

Day 5 Tashkent, breakfast

You will enjoy breakfast and then check out the hotel. Our driver will meet you and take you to the airport for your flight home. This marks the end of your 5-day small group tour in Uzbekistan.
