* Uzbekistan witnessed a remarkable 23.6% increase in tourism activity between January and October 2023.
* The total service output of travel agencies, operators, and booking services reached 790.7 billion sums (over $64 million).
* Tashkent, the capital city, alone contributed to 74.1% of the total service volume, proving to be a major tourism hub.
2. Regional Collaboration between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan:
* Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have embarked on a collaborative initiative to promote tourism in key regions like Fergana, Andijan, Namangan, Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Arslanbob.
* This partnership aims to increase tourism flow between the two countries and develop infrastructure across various sectors like culture, history, trade, crafts, and sports.
3. Affordable Air Travel from HUMO Air Uzbekistan:
* HUMO Air, a new low-cost airline in Uzbekistan, has launched ticket sales for its initial flights connecting major cities.
* Starting December 15, HUMO Air will offer daily services from Tashkent to Urgench, Samarkand, Karshi, and Nukus using modern Airbus A320 aircraft.
