The trademark of this region is considered to be a large number of rusty ships that stand on the sand.
On the way to the Aral Sea, you will pass by Sudoche Lake and the village of Urga, located far from civilization. The inhabitants of this area are fishermen who use special methods that allow them to store fish. The exiled Orthodox Old Believers lived in this village. The Aral Sea and the lake were previously connected, which prompted the development of fishing activities in this area. Continuation of the way to the Aral sea with a stop on the Ustyurt plateau.
Ustyurt Plateau - canyons
Rocks hanging over the Aral Sea ended at the edge of a plateau. After decrease in sea level, the coast collapsed, and cracks formed in the rocks, known today as canyons. The tour program provides a ride to the new salt desert Aralkum, at a distance of up to 150 km. Earlier it was the bottom of the sea, today salt crystals are located on the entire surface. UNESCO project is being initialized in this area, according to which it is intended to plant the desert with plants and attract a lot of species of wild animals to the desert. Taking into consideration soil uniqueness, the most adaptable and stable plants are selected.
Upon arrival on the coast of the Aral Sea, you will set up a tent camp. If you are willing you can stay at the base with ready-made yurts. Dinner will be by the fire. This is followed by an overnight stay, a tent and a yurt are offered.

After decrease in sea level, the process of fishing became more complicated, which resulted in significant changes in the life of the port. The level of salt in the sea increased, the fish disappeared. Arriving in Muoynaq, you will visit the “ship graveyard”, explore the ruins of various ships thrown on the sand. Not so long ago, these ships were part of the flotilla, today they serve as a local museum that holds various artifacts.

The ancient city of Kungrad is named after one of the famous Turkic tribes in the past. Most of the peoples of Asia (middle part), living today, originate from it, and preserved the traditions and culture. The descendants of the Kazakhs and other nations honored the Kungrad clan, and this contributed to the history of the peoples and left its mark on modernity. The city was a part of Khorezm for many years. All travelers crossed this city.

A lot of saints have been buried in this area. When Islam became predominant, new traditions began to develop in this region, areas for worship were built. Even nowadays this holy place is visited by those women who ask God to give them a child. Necropolis "Mizdahkan" is full of open graves, which can be considered a sign or an echo of Zoroastrianism.
